Galleries > Scapes & TRAITS

I tell students to think of their cameras as visual notebooks – tools with which to remember the found objects and ephemera that come into their lives most every day. I always try to carry a camera or cellphone with me for this very reason.

These scapes are products of that thought. Not quite landscapes, mostly devoid of people, these photographs more closely resemble snapshots than any formal  expression. Yet there is something about the ease and spontaneity of the images that resonates, reminding me of the accidental possibilities with photography.
