As many of you have heard me say, my daughter Kate has been both a challenge and inspiration for me since the very beginning. She arrived on this earth with her own agenda and has stubbornly and persistently pursued it. This focus has not changed in her twenty-eight years and, frankly, I hope it never does. In recent years, she’s become a spirit guide of sorts for me - a fierce and nurturing friend, capable, and loyal. She is my muse, my favorite model, my child.
